Βιογραφικό Σημείωμα

Τα κύρια ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα αφορούν το θέμα της οικολογίας και διαχείρισης των γλυκών υδάτων, με ιδιαίτερο ενδιαφέρον για την οικολογική κατανομή της ιθαγώνας του ιθαγενών και των αλλοδαπών γλυκών υδάτων, τη διατήρηση και προστασία των γλυκών υδάτων και των παράκτιων οικοσυστημάτων, τις απαιτήσεις των ενδιαιτημάτων των ιχθύων και την παρακολούθηση των ποταμών σε υδρομορφολογία.

Διεξάγοντας τη διδακτορική του διατριβή στο Πανεπιστήμιο Αιγαίου, διερεύνησε τα μοντέλα διανομής, τις οδούς και τους φορείς εισαγωγής καθώς και την κατάσταση εισβολής των μη ιθαγενών ειδών ψαριών γλυκού νερού στα ελληνικά οικοσυστήματα.

Έχει συμμετάσχει σε 12 εθνικά και διεθνή προγράμματα. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε 13 επιστημονικά περιοδικά, 1 βιβλίο, καθώς και σε περισσότερες από 25 άλλες δημοσιεύσεις (δηλ. Εργασίες συνεδρίων, ειδικές δημοσιεύσεις, εφημερίδες και περιοδικά) και έχει συνυπογράψει πάνω από 20 τεχνικές εκθέσεις.
