Την περίοδο 2005-2010 εργάστηκε ως ελεύθερος επαγγελματίας με αντικείμενο τις γεωλογικές υδρογεωλογικές και μελέτες διαχείρισης υδατικών πόρων. Το 2010 εντάχτηκε στο δυναμικό του ΕΛΚΕΘΕ.

Τα κύρια ερευνητικά της ενδιαφέροντα είναι η υδρολογία, η ανάλυση και επεξεργασία των παραμέτρων του υδρολογικού ισοζυγίου και των υδροχημικών παραμέτρων των εσωτερικών επιφανειακών και υπόγειων υδάτων, η περιβαλλοντική διαχείριση υδατικών πόρων, η ποιότητα και παρακολούθηση των επιφανειακών και των υπόγειων υδάτων και η ανάπτυξη και οργάνωσή τους σε βάση δεδομένων, καθώς και η υδρολογική, υδρογεωλογική, υδροδυναμική και ποιοτική μοντελοποίηση, η υδρογεωλογία και τα υπόγεια νερά, η μελέτη των επιπτώσεων των κλιματικών πιέσεων στους υδατικούς πόρους, η στατιστική ανάλυση χρονοσειρών, τα μοντέλα προσομοίωσης τρωτότητας υδροφορέων, πλημμυρικής επικινδυνότητας και διάβρωσης, και οι εφαρμογές Γεωγραφικών Συστημάτων Πληροφοριών (G.I.S.).

Έχει συμμετάσχει σε (28) εθνικά και ευρωπαϊκά ερευνητικά προγράμματα. Είναι συγγραφέας ή συν- συγγραφέας (38) άρθρων σε διεθνή επιστημονικά περιοδικά, (7) κεφάλαια βιβλίων, και (28) άρθρων σε πρακτικά διεθνών και εθνικών επιστημονικών συνεδρίων.
